Article Marketing to Promote Your Rakeback Site
Article marketing is where you should spend the majority of your time and money. The links that you generate will be from highly related, content rich pages and you will have complete control over the anchor text being used in the links back to your site.
The idea behind article marketing is that you write an article and submit it to article directories, blogs, email lists, and publishers for them to publish on their websites. At the end of your article you include a bio box that has links back to pages on your own site. The publisher gets free content and you get free links back to your site. The problem with this method is that of duplicate content. Submitting the same article to hundreds of publishers will get you a whole bunch of links that will not stick. The pages with your article will quickly drop out of google’s index due to duplicate content penalties. Fortunately there is a remedy for this very problem.
Avoiding Duplicate Content
To keep your articles unique you must spin them. I am not talking about the automatic article spinners that replace words randomly within your article with synonyms. These spinners make your articles unique, but also make them unreadable. You need to do the rewriting by hand and make sure that the text reads true when spun several times. Rather than replacing keywords, its generally better to replace sentences or even entire paragraphs. There is more on exactly how to do this later on in the tutorial.
Article Distribution Services and Tools
Now to get these unique versions of your article out there you would have to deal with a huge amount of cutting and pasting. This can be avoided by using a few select distribution services. I use several services but this is probably not absolutely necessary. The services I use are:
