postheadericon Using Heading Tags on Your Rakeback Site

Heading tags do two things.  They stand out on the page to help give your readers an idea of what the block of content below them is going to be about, and they also stand out to the search engines spiders.  These tags are available from h1 all the way down to h6 with h1 being your main headline on the page.  Your h1 tag should include your main keyword or phrase for that page with h2 and h3 tags used as sub headings for other areas of your content.

Using h1-h6 Tags

To add and edit h1 - h6, tags you will have to get into the HTML of your site a bit.  Some people find this overwhelming, but it is actually quite simple.  With the way that PAS sites are set up, they already have H1 tags in place.  All you have to do is edit the content that is between the <h1> and </h1> tags.  Make sure that your main keyword phrase for the page is in between those tags.  That’s all there is to it.

If the page contains a lot of content it’s a good idea to break up the page with h2 tags.  An example would be your glance pages.  You may have information about the site on those pages with multiple sections.  This is where you can add extra keywords to target for that page.  Your page may be structured like this:

Heading Use Examples

<h1>Absolute Poker Rakeback</h1>

<p>This is where you put general information about the rakeback deal that is offered through your site for Absolute Poker.</p>

<h2>Absolute Poker Bonus</h2>

<p>This is where you would give an explanation of the sign up bonus as well as the requirements to clear that bonus using the term included in your h2 tags</p>

<h2>Absolute Poker Software</h2>

<p>This section would include a review of the Absolute Poker software and some of the features.</p>

You would continue this structure to define all of your content and create different keywords to target on that particular page.  Once you have a page structure that you are happy with you simply duplicate this format for all of your glance pages.  This structure should also be used for any additional content that you create and add to your site.
